Oxidised Copper and Gold Leaf Necklace

This necklace has a very light and random feel to it.
The oxidised and gold leaf surface enhance the organic inspiration it derives from.
Having two different coloured surfaces makes following the movement of the links much easier.

Set of Silver Rings

This set of silver rings are inspired by the different stages of a plant growing; smallest being the undeveloped stage to the biggest, set with a beautiful Topaz, seen as the flower in full bloom.

Gold Plated Earrings

These hand pierced earrings enabled me to work on a larger scale as they are very light; one of the many beauties of piercing. The gold plating adds a lovely rich warmth.

Gold Plated Bracelet

This gold plated bracelet was inspired by the form and texture of seashells.
One side of the links is polished and the other is textured which helps to see the movement throughout.

Silver Ring, Gold Plated

This ring is based on the movement of plants. The gold plating adds a beautiful warmth to the piece and sits elegantly across the fingers.

Oxidised Copper Necklace

This hand pierced piece is made in copper which has been oxidised in amonia. The beautiful warmth of the copper has been burnished on the edges to compliment the fresh blue and green tones.
It is linked together with durable black nylon which does not over power the pieces themselves.
As the links are randomly shaped and hand pierced, it ensures that every piece will be unique.

Artist Statement

It is the intricate and subtle details in nature that my inspiration transpires from. What fascinates me about nature is the way that it creates beauty so effortlessly; something that our culture strives so hard for.
The qualities I aim for in my jewellery are ones which relate to the inspiration they derive from; light organic shapes and patterns, controlled randomness and colour. Where possible, the technique will often guide my design, for example, forging and cutting to create random shapes. Precious materials do not always play an important role in my work and imperfections, such as oxidised copper and gold leaf, enhance the natural and organic influences.
